A Dream is undoubtedly the most common ingredient in the making of what we are, other than the breath, it is the only common thing between all of us which keeps us alive.
No matter who you are, what your race is or you are a kind person or not, dreams are always a part of you, some are alive and some are broken.
Dreams are with us, right from the birth. Dreams that our parents see for us, dreams that our society shows us and dreams that deep inside live within us.
Although, many of us forget the fact that everyone of us has the right to see their own dream and achieve them, we allow others to make us a tool to achieve their. Like the famous saying – ” If you don’t build your dream, someone will hire you to build theirs “
But, in the world of dreams, there are no limitations. One can see absolutely anything with no one to judge.
Perhaps for a reason, humans are the only living beings with the ability to dream with open eyes.
Somewhere, human evolution must be the result of many small dreams.
Even, today many achievements that we cherish, were once part of a dream.
This blog & mobile or computer on which you are reading this blog, Neil Armstrong’s first step on the moon or the nuclear bomb, everything that you can see, use or even destroy was once part of a dream.
If you can understand, that even the chair which you are sitting on right now is an invention which became a reality through someone’s dream. You will realize that in reality, we are surrounded by many small dreams or if I may say, our reality is a result of many different dreams. Dreams, which were seen with open eyes.
Many times, in the process of being responsible or successful, we wear multiple masks and hide our own self, so that people will like us, we will be accepted and we will not be in trouble.
Eventually, as a result, we forget our own dreams.
We wear the mask of being extremely successful but does that really makes us happy?
Today our society has restricted our vision to see dreams through business strategies and hence our dreams are limited and becoming our source of stress.
Majority of us have very common dreams mostly shown to us by society. Such as buying a house, car, latest mobiles or going on holiday to an international destination.
But when everyone in the room fights for that last slice of pizza, stress is the byproduct!
Even, when we are alone it is difficult to identify these masks because we are so used to them. But then how to identify the mask?
Many of us have been building these masks, since we were children.
Ask yourself, about some choices you made in life, why you feel awkward in certain situations, why you are still friends with certain people even though you can’t stand them. There is a reason that we all wear these masks.
Perhaps, this lockdown is the time to work towards deeper understanding about your intentions and actions.
I t is the time to live for your values, your vision and your own dreams!
If you could reconnect with some of your forgotten dreams, while reading this blog. Please write a comment with at least one dream that could establish your reality.
Let us remind ourselves that only humans can see dreams with open eyes and let our dreams become reality.
